OS 10.10.5 Waste of $.

What the heck…they offer this game 1/2 off…seems like a great deal eh? Loved the original and downloaded this today (Nov 1st, 2015). I have a 27’’ iMac with enough ram and space that I could run the space station and this game just crashes a few seconds after starting up. Oh, lovely, on the game’s site, they are trying to fix a problem with it working with the new Mac OS….will take MONTHS to fix? ———— why is this game allowed to be for sale on the App Store. Rip OFF !!!!!!!!!!!

This game wont even open, it will start up and then close before the game starts, like wtf i paid 5 bucks for this and i cant even play?!?!

So far this is a pretty good game, nice graphics, straighforward gameplay. Note that there is no controller support so you’re stuck using keyboard and mouse. Also game will not load unless you disable internet first. Other than that, pretty solid game.

This game is epic! The price is funny also. Spend your 10$ well with this.

Just purchased this game and it crashes after several seconds when running Doom 3. MackBook Pro Retina, 13’, mid 2014, OS X El Capitan 10.11.1. Please fix it or it’s just a waste of money.

I bought this game and it crashes after the “id” logo. Not worth buying!

Great game (I’ve played through it 3 times), but after updating to 10.11.5, the sound is choppy in addition to the game becoming a slideshow. This is on a brand new high end 5K retina Mac. From the other couple reviews, it seems to be a widespread problem no matter what the machine. Perhaps you could take a chance if you use an older OS, but if you’re using El Capitian, I’d steer clear until Aspyr gets serious about fixing the issues.

It is nice to relive memories of Doom 3 gameplay. Fun times! Forthose having graphics issues on a MacBook, try the following: Open System Preferences > Energy Saver and uncheck “Automatic Graphics Switching” That fixed all of the issues I was experiencing.

Yes.I’m still playing this game. Or, trying to.I don’t consider myself a gamer or a vomputer nut, but, yes since i purchased a mac a few years ago, all of my opinions have changed.Windows pc’s are virtually disposable. this game stresses me out….in a good way.

i just bought this and was extremely excited to play it but it crashes and isnt working. please fix this. i have a new mac book and this shouldnt be happening. i really want to play this game so please get it together and patch this BS!

I wanted to relive the glory days of Doom 3 from the Xbox, and after downloading it… I was let down… I can’t even play it… Fix this thing…

Everytime I open the game, right after the id heartbeat pops up, the game quits and returns me back to the home screen. fix asap!!!

This game is astounding on so many levels. The level of creativity on both a technological and artistic level is truly extraordinary. The amount of vision behind something like this is truly inspiring. This game unquestionably raised the bar for not only gaming technology but for immersive storytelling in general. I believe this is truly a work of art.

The game is great — but it does’t work on El Capitan. Until they fix this, maybe it shouldn’t be the “Editor’s Choice.”

This app didn’t work in Yosemite and is still broken in El Capitan. Way to go.
